Hon Mong Tay

It sits between Hai Tac and Ba Lua islands but well off the shipping lane, so few boats pass and the island has kept a rare, unspoilt look. Jade-green water, white sand and a line of coconut palms along the shore — and below the surface, coloured coral growing close together across a wide bed.

Hon May Rut (Trong or Ngoai)

A well-known snorkelling spot in Phu Quoc, made up of two small islands, each with its own character. May Rut Ngoai is cool and open, sky and sea the same deep blue. May Rut Trong has clear water, a long stretch of fine white sand and little swell — good for floating about or snorkelling over the reef.

Hon Gam Ghi

Also called Hon Dam Ngang, one of 16 small islands within an 18 km radius in the An Thoi archipelago, Kien Giang province, about 35 km from the centre of Phu Quoc. Unspoilt, with rock outcrops of every shape and size, fine white sand under the coconut palms, and water clear enough to see the coloured reef below.
